I’m starting to get close to feeling like straps would be helpful for my RDL’s. I tried them today and I had some struggles. I watched video on how to use them and I got the strap in the right position with it pointing towards the thumb and wrapped it the correct way around the bar but I couldn’t manage to get it quite…

New to the gym as a fat girl
Hi there! I'm really new to using the gym. Before I gained a lot of weight, I liked going to the gym. I used to go two or three days a week and although I was never a total gym rat, I was pretty comfortable using the equipment and felt like I belonged. But that has changed. I'm now significantly overweight and with my 43rd…

The social media trends of fast weightloss/fitness gains
The more I've watched Tik Tok, FB and Youtube, the more and more I'm seeing trends where people as young as 14, are doing outlandish things to try to accelerate achieving a socially accepted body. Women getting all sorts of plastic surgery under 20 years old, getting on GLP-1 if they only have like 10bs to lose, and of…

Shoe Recommendations (UK)
Hi all, I've been walking to lose some weight (Down from 265lbs to 245lbs so far) and I seem to be killing shoes. My first pair were Air Nike's and I wore them all the time for about 6 months, then they lasted 2 months with my added walking. OK, a rest week isn't a bad thing!
Last week, I finally took a rest week. Now, I'm not an athlete - 50+ y/o obese female. I've been working out 4-6 days a week, fairly intensly for a year. 2 weeks ago, I felt bad - had a ton of cramps in my legs. And, my legs had ached daily for a few weeks. I was afraid to take a rest week, because I was worried I'd lose…

How Can I Adjust My Program?
Hi everyone, I’ve been training for over 11 years. Right now I’m running this split (posted below) and my question is how to properly distribute the weekly volume. Exercise and Calories burned question
I use MapMyFitness to track my walk. It shows I walked 7.4k steps and burned 423 in calories. This is just my walk and I walk at a fairly good pace. Does Anyone Remember ELAINE POWERS exercise studio
About 30 yrs ago there weren't many gyms around and there was a place called ELAINE POWERS for women only. I guess Lucille Roberts took over after Elaine Powers closed. Weightlifting mistakes...a confession
